Homemade Almond Butter
Ingredients:
1/2 bag of Costco raw almonds
Sea salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 315.
2. Spread almonds on parchment lined baking sheet.
3. Sprinkle water over almonds and add sea salt
4. Bake in oven for 15 minutes to roast the almonds.
5. Let cool.
6. Put half of the almonds in blender (we use our VitaMix) and pulse to break up the almonds into a flour consistency.
7. Change the blender settings to mix and a VERY slow speed. Let the VitaMix do it's work and the almonds will mix and in about 5-10 minutes it will turn into super creamy almond butter.
Store in refrigerator. I love putting the almond butter on my protein pancakes or sneaking a spoonful out of the container when I need a little snack :)
